T6 Carlingford Line Conversion
On Sunday 5 January 2020, the T6 Carlingford Line closed while it is converted to Parramatta Light Rail, which will connect Carlingford to Westmead via the Parramatta CBD.
A new bus route, the 535, has been introduced for customers impacted by the conversion of the T6 Line.
The new route is keeping customers moving between Carlingford and the Parramatta CBD while this important new transport mode for Western Sydney is being built.
Route 535 runs at least every 15 minutes in the busy periods of the day – a huge boost for customers who previously had just two train services per hour during peak on the T6 Carlingford Line. Real-time data is available on the online Trip Planner, as well as on third-party apps, so customers can plan ahead.
The bus route operates between Carlingford, Telopea, Dundas, Rydalmere, Camellia/Rosehill and Parramatta CBD. Customers wishing to travel to Clyde need to interchange at Parramatta for a rail service.
A standard train fare applies on the 535, which means customers will continue to benefit from the 30 per cent off-peak discount on standard adult Opal fares.
The 535 Carlingford to Parramatta bus fleet is air-conditioned, accessible with low floors for wheelchair and pram access, on-board information displays and audio announcements on vehicles.
