Sydney Metro

Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project – 31 metro stations and 66km of new metro rail.

Services on the Metro North West Line started on Sunday 26 May 2019, delivering a turn up and go rail service from Rouse Hill to Chatswood.

From 2024, metro rail will be extended from the North West, under Sydney Harbour, through new underground CBD stations and beyond to Bankstown.

Metro means a new generation of fast, safe and reliable trains easily connecting customers with turn-up-and-go services – and with an ultimate future capacity of a train every two minutes under the Sydney CBD.

Station Link, which was introduced to keep customers moving while the rail line between Epping and Chatswood was upgraded ahead of Sydney Metro services commencing, has now stopped operating.

Station Link provided more than 120 new, fully accessible, air-conditioned buses to operate thousands of extra services from 30 September 2018.

North West Night Bus
