Changed traffic conditions in North Sydney from this Friday - 26 April

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Warringah Freeway this weekend, as part of the Warringah Freeway Upgrade.

A number of traffic changes will be in place from Friday 26 April. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

From 10pm Friday 26 April to 4:30am Monday 29 April, we will be carrying out extended weekend work in three locations in North Sydney. Traffic changes include:

•    Reduced capacity for Warringah Freeway southbound lanes between Mount Street and High Street North Sydney (night time works only). At least one southbound lane will remain open at all times.
•    Full closure of the Mount Street bridge eastern southbound on ramp (day and night works). Alternative access to Sydney CBD will be maintained via the Mount Street western on ramp. Alternative access to Cahill Expressway will be maintained via Military Road and Falcon Street.
•    Northbound access to Alfred Street North via Mount Street between Mount Street bridge and Kurraba Road will be closed to all traffic. Access to Alfred Street North northbound will be maintained via High Street, Clark Road, Ben Boyd Road, and Military Road
•    Temporary changes to the intersection of Alfred Street North and Mount Street. Pedestrian and cycling access will be maintained via a temporary path diversion and traffic lights.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
