Weekend Rail Repair Plan - 9 - 10 March

Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 09-10 March, as essential Rail Repair Plan trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.

On both Saturday and Sunday, buses will replace trains between Berowra and Gordon on the T1 North Shore Line.

The T9 Northern Line will see buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield across the weekend.

Sydney Trains will have around 979 workers undertaking a significant amount of work to remove 54 high-priority defects over this period.

Some trains may run to changed stopping pattern and timetable. Passengers may need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.

Intercity

On the Central Coast & Newcastle Line buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Gordon on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Hunter Line will also see buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange across the weekend.

Buses will replace trains on the South Coast Line on Saturday from 3am to 11am between Port Kembla, Dapto and Waterfall. On Sunday, from 2.30am to 9.50am, buses will also replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong.

The Southern Highlands Line will see buses replace trains between Goulburn and Moss Valefrom Saturday 9 March to Monday 11 March from 4.40am Saturday to 8.30am Monday.

Passengers on the Blue Mountains Line will see buses replace trains from 2am on Monday 11 March to 10pm on Friday 15 March between Lithgow and Mount Victoria.

Metro

On both Saturday and Sunday, buses will replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood on the Metro North West Line due to planned trackwork and testing for the upcoming metro extension into the Sydney CBD.
