Works across Sydney’s road and transport network from 15 March

Motorists are advised to plan ahead with changed traffic conditions at locations across the city, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, to allow for maintenance and project works.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

Up to five lanes on the Sydney Harbour Bridge deck will close for maintenance and upgrade works from tonight:

  • Friday 15 March: 11pm – 6am
  • Saturday 16 March: 11pm – 6am
  • Wednesday 20 March: 10pm – 4.30am
  • Thursday 21 March: 10pm – 4.30am

Motorists can use other lanes on the Sydney Harbour Bridge or drive through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel as an alternative route during these times.

Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Domain Tunnel & Eastern Distributor

One southbound lane of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel will close from 10pm to 6am on Saturday 16 March. On Sunday 17 March, both southbound lanes of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel will close from 10:30pm to 4:30am.

The northbound and southbound lanes of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel and Domain Tunnel will be closed for maintenance on Monday 18 March and Tuesday 19 March from 10:30pm to 5am. Motorists can drive across the Sydney Harbour Bridge as an alternative route during these times.

The Eastern Distributor will also be closed in both directions from 10:30pm to 5am on Monday 18 March and Tuesday 19 March.

 P!NK at Sydney Olympic Park

Public transport is the best way to party with P!NK at her final show in Sydney on Saturday 16 March, with hundreds of additional trains and buses running to the precinct.

Car parks are sold out, so if motorists have not pre-booked a spot, there is no additional parking on site.

Please note, AFL footy fans will be leaving nearby ENGIE Stadium (formerly GIANTS Stadium) after the GWS Giants v North Melbourne match as P!NK fans are arriving.

‘Fred again..’ concert at the Domain

Public transport is the best way to see international DJ ‘Fred again..’ at the Domain on Saturday 16 March. Trains, light rail and buses run regularly to St James, Town Hall and other major transport hubs within close walking distance of the Domain.

Roads into the Domain will close from 8pm, with further closures on CBD roads outside the Domain from 8pm until 12 midnight to allow crowds to safely leave the area.

Motorists should expect delays and allow plenty of extra travel time.

Changed traffic conditions on the M4 Western Motorway

There will be changed traffic conditions on the M4 Western Motorway between Russell Street, Emu Plains and Clyburn Avenue, South Penrith for road maintenance work to repair damaged sections of the road.

The work will take place over 3 nights between Monday 18 March and Wednesday 20 March, weather permitting. Working hours will be from 8:30pm to 5am.

Changed traffic conditions in Annandale

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week at The Crescent overpass, Annandale.

From Monday 18 March to Friday 22 March, a full closure of The Crescent overpass and the Crescent northbound lanes is required from 10pm-5am to complete defect and drainage works.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and visit livetraffic.com for the latest traffic updates.

Essential trackwork

Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend as essential trackwork targets key sections of the network to improve resilience and reliability.

Buses will replace trains on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line between Cronulla and Sutherland as part of Sydney Trains project work, as well as on the T1 Western Line between Emu Plains and Blacktown and on Sunday between North Sydney and Wynyard on the T1 North Shore Line for planned maintenance work.
