Works across Sydney’s road and transport network - from 17 May
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions across Greater Sydney for maintenance and project works.
Sydney Harbour Bridge
Up to 5 lanes on the Sydney Harbour Bridge deck will close for maintenance and upgrade works from tonight:
- Friday 17 May: 10.30pm – 6am
- Saturday 18 May: 10.30pm – 6am
- Sunday 19 May: 10pm – 4:30am
- Monday 20 May: 10pm – 4:30am
- Tuesday 21 May: 10pm – 4:30am
- Wednesday 22 May: 10pm – 4:30am
- Thursday 23 May: 10.30pm – 4:30am
Motorists can use other lanes on the Sydney Harbour Bridge or drive through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel as an alternative route during these times.
Sydney Harbour Tunnel
One lane in each direction in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel will be closed overnight from Tuesday, 21 May to Thursday, 23 May from 10pm to 5am for maintenance work.
Motorists can use the Sydney Harbour Bridge as an alternative route during these times.
Western Distributor
Motorists are advised of eastbound lane closures on the Western Distributor between Darling Harbour and Sussex Street on Sunday 19 May and Monday 20 May between 9pm and 5am, and between Anzac Bridge and Allen Street off-ramp on Tuesday 21 May and Wednesday 22 May between 9pm and 5am. Detours will be in place.

Temporary traffic changes at High Street, North Sydney
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Warringah Freeway. From 10pm Friday 17 May to 4:30am Monday 20 May, the High Street southbound on-ramp to the Cahill Expressway will be closed in North Sydney.
Access to the Cahill Expressway will be maintained via High Street, Arthur Street and Mount Street southbound on-ramp.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow for extra travel time.

Essential trackwork
Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 18-19 May, as essential Rail Repair Plan trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.
Buses will replace trains due to planned trackwork on key sections of T1 Western, T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra, and T5 Cumberland lines, as well as intercity services on the Blue Mountains, Central Coast & Newcastle and South Coast lines.
Metro
Across the weekend, buses will replace Metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood due to planned trackwork and testing for the upcoming metro extension into the Sydney CBD.
Light Rail
L2 and L3 light rail will not run on both Saturday and Sunday. Buses replace L2 and L3 between Central Chalmers Street and Juniors Kingsford or Randwick. Passengers should use City Circle trains between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street.
