Plan your trip to Randwick Racecourse for Everest Day

With up to 40,000 racegoers expected, ticketholders for Everest Day (14 October) at Royal Randwick Racecourse are urged to plan ahead and consider all the travel options available.

Race day tickets include travel on public transport, simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services.

Light rail services run regularly to Royal Randwick on the L2 Line or to Kensington on the L3 Line, which is within short walking distance of the racecourse. Additional services will run before and after the races.

See our Randwick Racecourse transport map (pdf 254KB) to find your way.

If you’re using rideshare and taxis allow plenty of extra travel time as traffic will be very heavy on roads around the racecourse. Use the dedicated drop off zone on Darley Rd or the dedicated taxi rank at the racecourse entry on Ascot St. If you’re driving there’s on-site parking at the racecourse Infield carpark via High St. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Please note City Circle trackwork on the weekend may affect your trip. Trains will not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard. Use light rail services to continue your trip to Randwick. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
