Robbie Williams fans urged to catch public transport to Moore Park

English crooner Robbie Williams is set to entertain more than 35,000 fans at Allianz Stadium on Thursday (16 Nov) night and ticketholders are encouraged to take advantage of extra public transport services to get to and from the show.

Transport for NSW Coordinator General Howard Collins said heavy traffic is expected around the precinct, so fans are urged to leave the car at home.

“The show kicks off with support acts from 6:45pm, which coincides with evening peak when roads are already very busy,” Mr Collins said.

“If you must drive, or are catching taxis or rideshare, please leave plenty of additional travel time and expect traffic delays.

"Public transport is the best way to get there and travel is included in concert tickets - simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services.

“Frequent, additional light rail services will run to Moore Park before and after the concert and plenty of regular route buses stop within a short walk of the stadium.”

Alternatively, fans can catch a train to Central Station and consider an easy walk to the stadium – about 25 minutes - via Foveaux or Devonshire Streets and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway.

Parking on-site at Moore Park is limited and car parks are expected to reach capacity before the show starts so event-goers should have a backup parking option in mind.

A dedicated drop-off zone will be in operation on Moore Park Rd at the stadium or use Errol Flynn Boulevard and Driver Avenue for drop-off and pick-up locations.

Fans are advised to leave home early to avoid the heaviest network impacts and make a night of it by enjoying the many local venues in areas surrounding the stadium.

Evening trackwork may affect your trip home on parts of the T9 Northern Line and the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line. For train service disruption information, check travel alerts and trackwork.
