Upcoming works across Sydney’s road network - 21 July 2023

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Sydney Harbour Bridge from tonight, Friday 21 July, and in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel from Sunday night for maintenance and Warringah Freeway Upgrade works, as well as heavy traffic around stadiums for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

FIFA Women’s World Cup™ 2023

Football Fever has kicked off in Sydney, with the next matches at Sydney Football Stadium in Moore Park on Sunday, 23 July at 8pm and Tuesday 25 July at 12pm. Traffic will be heavy and parking very limited so fans should take advantage of extra light rail and bus services to get to and from the game. Travel on public transport is included in your match ticket.

Fans should consider walking from Central to Moore Park via Devonshire and Foveaux streets to avoid queues for transport services.

Warringah Freeway Upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Highway and Walker Street in North Sydney from tonight, 21 July.

From 10pm, the right turn into Walker Street from the northbound lanes of the Pacific Highway will be permanently closed.

The right turn access into Walker Street will be maintained for motorists travelling westbound on High Street.

Vehicles on the Pacific Highway northbound off ramp can use either Pacific Highway, Miller Street and Berry Street, or Arthur Street and Mount Street, to access Walker Street.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use extra caution while adjusting to your new access route.
