Upcoming works across Sydney’s road network

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Sydney Harbour Bridge from tonight, 14 July, and in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel next Thursday night, 20 July, for maintenance and Warringah Freeway Upgrade works.

Warringah Freeway

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions northbound on the Warringah Freeway and northbound Falcon Street off ramp at North Sydney from next week.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place at the intersection of Mount Street and Alfred Street North in North Sydney this weekend as part of the Warringah Freeway Upgrade.

There will be 56 hours of continuous work at the intersection between 9pm on Friday, 14 July and 5am on Monday, 17 July to install services and relocate utilities.

Motorists planning to travel northbound on Alfred Street North will need to detour via Alfred Street North southbound, High Street and Ben Boyd Road. There is no impact to access to or from the Warringah Freeway.

Work will also be carried out between 9pm and 4.30am on Tuesday 18 July, Wednesday 19 July, and Friday 21 July. Work is expected to be completed within three nights, weather permitting.

Two northbound lanes on the Warringah Freeway, the northbound Falcon Street off-ramp and bus lane will be closed during work hours.

Motorists exiting the freeway northbound will need to detour via the Pacific Highway exit in North Sydney or the Miller Street exit at Cammeray. Motorists should be aware they may need to merge with buses and should take extra care and drive to the conditions.
