Changes to ferry services in Parramatta

Customers are advised the F3 Parramatta River ferry service will be closed between Parramatta and Rydalmere from Monday, 13 May, to Thursday, 23 May, due to work on the Gasworks Bridge.

During the closure, a replacement bus service (Route 60F3) will run between Parramatta Wharf, Phillip Street, and Rydalmere Wharf.

Detailed information about the closure is available here.

Essential trackwork

Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 11-12 May, as essential Rail Repair Plan trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.

Buses will replace trains due to planned trackwork on key sections of T1 Western and North Shore, T2 Inner West & Leppington, T5 Cumberland and T9 Northern Lines, as well as intercity services on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line and the Southern Highlands Line.

From 9.30pm Friday and throughout the weekend, trains will not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard.

For travel around the city, passengers will need to use the light rail between Central and Circular Quay, or local bus services. There are extra CBD light rail services running between 7am and 7pm across the weekend.

Information on additional public transport services can be found here.

Detailed information on affected lines and alternative travel options are available in our trackwork alert here

Passengers should allow for plenty of extra travel time and check specific journey information by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.
