Western Sydney Ferry service boost from July 1

Ferry passengers travelling on the F3 Parramatta River route between Circular Quay and Sydney Olympic Park will get a raft of new services from July 1, with an extra seven trips to be added each weekday.

These permanent extra services will include four departures from Circular Quay in the morning and three from Sydney Olympic Park in the afternoon – significantly lifting the frequency in both directions.

As a result, some other services have had their timetables adjusted to maintain the regularity of the timetable and reduce passenger wait times.

The new services will depart Circular Quay at 8.47am, 9.27am, 10.27am and 11.27am, while in the afternoon there will be extra departures from Sydney Olympic Park at 1.28pm, 2.28pm and 3.28pm.

The extra services come on top of the seven additional services on weekdays and 26 on weekends announced in January this year for the F3 route.

The service increase is offering more choice to commuters, schoolchildren and visitors seeking to travel along the Parramatta River. All the new services will include stops at Barangaroo, Cockatoo Island, Drummoyne, Huntleys Point, Chiswick, Abbottsford, Cabarita, Kissing Point and Meadowbank.
