Sydenham to Bankstown Upgrade

T3 BANKSTOWN LINE - SYDENHAM TO BIRRONG TEMPORARY RAIL CLOSURE – Proposed from Saturday 24 September to Sunday 9 October, 2022 and from Monday 26 December 2022 to Thursday 12 January 2023

Rail upgrade work between Sydenham and Bankstown is proposed from Saturday 24 September to Sunday 9 October 2022 and from Monday 26 December to Sunday 15 January 2023. This work has been planned to take place in the October and December/January school holidays when there are fewer customers on the rail network.

To keep customers moving, frequent buses will replace trains during these times. To accommodate the additional buses and ensure minimal disruption to traffic, some temporary parking changes are proposed.

Consultation with the local community is now open on the proposed temporary parking changes. View the notifications and maps below for information about the temporary parking changes around your station:

Inner West – Consultation open 8 August to 19 August

Cumberland - Consultation open 8 August to 19 August

Canterbury Bankstown - Consultation open 8 August to 19 August

Transport for NSW will consider any feedback received, and work with the relevant Councils on the changes to temporary parking.

Residents and businesses can provide their feedback on the proposed kerbside changes via email at TTPComms@transport.nsw.gov.au or telephone 1800 171 386

Final transport plans to keep customers moving during the upgrade will be shared with the community well in advance to give people plenty of time to plan ahead.
