Major events
Around 32,000 fans are expected at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday for the Men’s T20 International between Australia and Pakistan. Ticketholders are urged to plan their trip and travel on public transport is included in your ticket to the game.
Getting to the game: Trains and Metro services run regularly to Central where you can connect with light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park light rail stop is a short walk across from the SCG. Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby.
Due to industrial action, limited light rail services will run between Central and Randwick/ Kingsford from 7am to 7pm only. Buses will replace services before 7am and after 7pm. Light rail services will not run between Central and Circular Quay, use trains instead. Queues for light rail services may be long due to the reduced frequency, be patient and allow extra travel time.
If you're travelling from the city consider walking from Central to Moore Park instead. Shuttle buses will also supplement light rail services between Central Chalmers St and Moore Park from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
Getting home after the game: Shuttle buses will run frequently from the Moore Park Bus Terminal outside the SCG back to Central from 9.30pm to 11.30pm. A very limited light rail service will run from Moore Park back to Central only. Light rail services will not run to Randwick or Kingsford. Queues for buses will be long so consider walking to Central instead. If you are travelling towards Randwick or Kingsford, catch light rail replacement buses from Anzac Pde near Lang Rd.
If you have to drive, expect delays on the approach to the precinct and carpool as parking will be in demand. Details of buses and parking options can be found on our event page.
Also on Saturday, large crowds are expected to see The Kid LAROI at CommBank Stadium and fans are encouraged to plan ahead and consider all the available travel options.
Public transport is included in your event ticket. Trains and buses run regularly to Parramatta Station, a 15-minute walk from the stadium. Some buses also make stops outside the stadium on O’Connell Street.
Traffic will be heavier than usual approaching the precinct as attendees travel to the concert. Parking in the area will be in high demand so if you're driving, plan to arrive early and allow extra travel time.
Testing and commissioning of the Parramatta Light Rail is continuing, with trams being tested along the line all day and into the night. Whether you’re walking, cycling or driving near the light rail, please be aware of your surroundings and know that trams can’t stop quickly or easily, or swerve to avoid you. Please remember to stop, listen and look around.
Public transport is the best way to get to and from all events. For more information on all events visit transportnsw.info.
