Weekend trackwork alert - 17-18 August
Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend from 17 to 18 August, as planned essential trackwork continues in order to make sure that our train network is resilient and reliable.
Trains will not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard this weekend.
This will affect T1, T2, T3, T8 and T9 Line trains, which may have different stopping patterns and timetables. Passengers will be able to use light rail and bus services to travel across the CBD.
Buses will also replace all-stop trains between Strathfield and Central on the T2 Inner West Line, but express trains will continue to run.
On Saturday 17 August:
- Buses will replace trains from 4:00am to 11:30am between Waterfall and Sutherland on the T4 Illawarra Line. Trains will continue to run between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction.
- Buses will replace trains on the South Coast Line between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland from 3:00am to 11:00am.
- Buses will replace trains on the Southern Highlands Line between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown from 4:40am to 4:00pm.
On Sunday 18 August:
- Buses will replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong on the South Coast Line from 2.30am to 9.50am.
Passengers may need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time.
Regular trackwork is critical for the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the rail network. Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.
Sydney Trains thanks passengers for their patience.
