Essential trackwork
Passengers heading to Vivid Sydney are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 1-2 June, as important trackwork takes place, impacting some passenger journeys.
On Saturday night from 9.45pm to 6am Sunday, buses will replace T3 and T4 trains between Sydenham and Central stations in both directions for important trackwork.
Travel into the city for Vivid Sydney will not be heavily impacted by trackwork with an additional 400 train services on offer over the duration of the event.
Elsewhere buses will replace trains due to planned trackwork on key sections of the T3 Bankstown Line, T4 Illawarra Line and T7 Olympic Park Line, as well as intercity services on the South Coast, Hunter and Southern Highlands lines.
Light Rail
Tonight (Friday May 31) from 6pm to 1am and on Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2 from 5pm to 1am, L2 and L3 light rail services will not run between Town Hall and Circular Quay due to Vivid.
Light rail services will continue to run between Town Hall and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford during these times. Passengers travelling to Circular Quay should continue on foot from Town Hall or change for trains.
Detailed information on affected lines and alternative travel options are available in our trackwork alert here.
Passengers should allow for plenty of extra travel time and check specific journey information by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.
