Changed traffic conditions along the Warringah Freeway from Friday 20 September
As part of ongoing work to construct a new shared user bridge across the Warringah Freeway at Falcon Street, Cammeray, the Warringah Freeway Upgrade project will be installing two more large bridge structures, called girders, across the centre lanes of the freeway. To do this, an oversized crane will be set up within the freeway and lane and ramp closures implemented.
Multiple temporary lane and ramp closures will be in place from 10pm Friday 20 September to 4:30am Monday 23 September.
Key changes across the weekend include:
- Ernest Street southbound on ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday 20 September to 4:30am Monday 23 September. Detour for westbound traffic via Falcon Street southbound on ramp. Detour for eastbound traffic via the Miller Street southbound on ramp.
- Falcon Street southbound off ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday 20 September to 4:30am Monday 23 September. Motorists are advised to use Alfred Street southbound off ramp towards Kirribilli for access to either Lower North Shore suburbs or via the Pacific Highway, Falcon Street, Military Road for the Northern Beaches.
Please slow down and follow the directional signage in place over the weekend. Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
