Warringah Freeway Upgrade: Changed traffic conditions from 18 Oct
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Warringah Freeway this weekend. Multiple temporary lane and ramp closures will be in place from 10pm Friday 18 October to 5am Monday 21 October.
Traffic changes include:
- Berry Street northbound on ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday 18 October to 5am Monday 21 October. Detour via Arthur Street, Mount Street, Walker Street and the Pacific Highway northbound.
- High Street southbound on ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday 18 October to 5am Monday 21 October. Use the Mount Street on ramp as an alternative.
- Falcon Street northbound bus only ramp is closed from 10pm Friday 18 October to 6am Saturday 19 October, 10pm Saturday 19 October to 6am Sunday 20 October and 10pm Sunday 20 October to 5am Monday 21 October 2024. Buses to detour via Falcon Street northbound eastern ramp.
- Miller Street southbound on ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday 18 October to 6pm Sunday 20 October. Detour via Falcon Street southbound on ramp.
Also, the Miller Street southbound on ramp will be closed from 10am to 6pm weekdays from Wednesday 23 October to mid-December 2024. Motorists are advised to use either the Ernest St or the Falcon St on ramp. The on ramp may also be closed on some nights. Motorists should check signage and follow the detour.
We are also closing the Sydney Harbour Tunnel:
- Southbound from 11.30pm Friday 18 October to 6am Saturday 19 October
- Northbound from 11.30pm Saturday 19 October to 6am Sunday 20 October
- Northbound from 10.30pm Sunday 20 October to 4.30am Monday 21 October
The Sydney Harbour Bridge will remain open at all times. However, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is NOT open to Restricted Access Vehicles (RAV) vehicles. Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternative route. Vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time. Please slow down and follow the directional signage in place over the weekend.
