Changed traffic conditions in North Sydney from this Friday

Motorists who use the Warringah Freeway are urged to plan ahead with changed traffic conditions in effect this weekend.

Multiple temporary lane and ramp closures will be in place from 9pm Friday 16 August to 4:30am Monday 19 August.

Traffic changes include:

Alfred Street North off ramp closed from 10pm Friday 16 August to 4:30am Monday 19 August. Detour via Military Road off ramp (toll free during this period), Tramway Lane, and Falcon Street westbound to avoid travelling over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Ernest Street off ramp will be closed from 11pm Friday 16 August to 6am Saturday 17 August. Detour via Miller Street off ramp.
Miller Street southbound on ramp will be closed continuously from 10pm Friday 16 August to 6pm Sunday 18 August. Detours for motorists travelling northbound on Miller Street will be in place via Miller Street, Amherst Street, Cammeray Road, Park Avenue, Ernest Street, and Ernest Street on ramp. Detours for motorists travelling southbound on Miller Street will be in place via Miller Street, Ernest Street, and Ernest Street on ramp.
High Street on ramp closed from 9pm Friday 16 August 2024 to 7:30am Saturday 17 August. Detours will be in place via High Street westbound, Arthur Street, Mount Street, and Mount Street southbound western on ramp to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The Mount Street southbound eastern on ramp to Cahill Expressway including bus lane will be closed on the following nights:
- from 9pm Friday 16 August to 7.30am Saturday 17 August
- from 11pm Sunday 18 August to 4:30am Monday 19 August

Alternative access via Mount Street southbound western on ramp to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Alfred Street North southbound access between Bent Street and Mount Street bridge will be closed from 10pm Friday 16 August to 4:30am Monday 19 August. Detours will be in place via Darley Street and Kurraba Road.
