Warringah Freeway Upgrade: Changed traffic conditions in North Sydney from 27 Sept
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Warringah Freeway this weekend and over the spring school holidays.
Multiple temporary lane and ramp closures will be in place from 10pm Friday 27 September.
Traffic changes for the coming weekend include:
- Alfred Street North off ramp is closed from 10pm Friday 27 September to 6am Saturday 28 September. Detour via Military Road off ramp (toll free during this period), Tramway Lane and Falcon Street westbound to avoid travelling over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
- High Street on ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday 27 September to 4:30am Monday 30 September. Motorists can use the Mount Street on ramp instead.
In addition, there will be two temporary road closures in place during the two-week spring school holiday period. These closures will allow road reconstruction work to be carried out at the intersection of High Street and the Pacific Highway.
- Access to Arthur Street off ramp from Pacific Highway will be temporarily closed from 10pm Friday 27 September to 4:30am Monday 14 October. Detours via Pacific Highway northbound, Miller Street, Berry Street, Walker Street, Pacific highway southbound and Arthur Street.
- Left-turn access to Pacific Highway from Lavender Street will be temporarily closed from 10pm Friday 27 September to 4:30am Monday 14 October. Motorists can instead use Blues Point Road and Miller Street northbound to access the Pacific Highway.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time. Please slow down and follow the directional signage in place over this time. Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
